The Wild Woman

A built jungle, a quiet figure, and a curtain of smoke — a still life staged as ceremony.

About the project

The Wild Woman is a constructed wilderness shot entirely in studio. We sourced living foliage, weathered tree trunks and moss beds, then layered atmospheric smoke and a single hard light to carve a cathedral out of the green.

The project explores stillness as ritual: the subject as part of the landscape rather than separate from it. Every element on set — from the root in the foreground to the banana palm at the vanishing point — was placed to lead the eye to one centred breath.
